Only buy these if you want a sewing project and really know what you're doing (I did on both counts). The way they look out of the "box" is horrendous. They look nothing like the images in the listing! Nothing is sewn down correctly. The manufacturer only had the time or inclination to make one oval straight stitch to hold the lace to the pants. So the 1" to 2" edge of the lace is just flappin' in the breeze. Fixing it is not trivial either. You have two options:1. Sew it down by hand.2. Remove the inseam so that you can sew it with a machine and then repair the inseam.I chose door #2. I can't really say which is more laborius. They're both a lot of work, although different types of work. I like ripping seams. Also, I wanted the machine stitching to avoid the weird shifting that can occur with long runs of hand stitches. Also, these are skinny jeans and I needed to let them out just a little which the inseam afforded me the ability to do. FYI, restitching the lace as a means of letting them out is a bad plan. Try it and see...Lastly, the finish at the top of the lace portion is just a big fold and stitch deal, similar to a hem in the lace. So I removed that portion of the original stitching and cut the lace to allow it to end in a way that looks natural for the pattern. I left the rest of the original stitching in place and just traced along the edge of the lace with a long straight stitch in a matching color (white in my case) with very little pressure on the foot.That's about it. If you want a sewing project, this is a good one. The pants look great when they're sewn correctly (i.e. they look just like the pictures in the listing).
